On my RS 100 with the foam colapsed the water level is at about to the base of the collection cup. I get good stinky skimate that is a little wet but dark in color.

Had a snail block mine. Luckly for me I have (2) 1" overflows and the backup made up for the rest. I wasn't sure why the difference in flowrates because it was tweaked perfectly for a long time....

I runa 1260 with 1" to a wavy sea (which exits 3/4) and it has good flow force. Perfect for my 50 gal. Blows my fish a little off course but doesn't smash them into rocks or the wall :)
