Same happened to mine... scooting about one day, gone the next. Stupid LFS told me it was a beginners fish so he was plonked in a newly cycled tank.. poor lil guy didn't stand a chance. :(

I'd second the pooping theory... my RBTA likes scaring the hell outta me by doing it too! ;) You only have worry if they stay like it for more than a day and/or their mouth starts gaping wide.

Mixing clowns is not a good idea. They will sometimes tolerate each other when they are young but they become more territorial with age and sooner or later the likelihood is one will kill the other....
