The overflow skims the dirtiest water off the top...
The overflow skims the dirtiest water off the top of the water column. It also alows you to use a sump and increase the systems total water volume wich gives it more stability over all.

Take that Hagen master test kit pack it up and...
Take that Hagen master test kit pack it up and throw the entire thing away. Cross check that calcium with a Salifert kit and you will see that it is off by about 200ppm. Dont buy another test kit...
