Sweet shots buddy :D

jtarmitage 01/09/2008 12:10 AM

Tim, I think we need to talk about the lokani and the echinata that I know you have.....I think their offspring need to be in my tank!!!!

Unarce 01/09/2008 12:10 AM

Wow! Your Mummy Eye's developed a cool color morph, Tim!

jtarmitage 01/09/2008 12:10 AM

Pics are looking good, BTW.

Yep, The extra limited rainbow mummy. In full light, mine looks like the aspera :)

tfp 01/09/2008 12:21 AM

thanks for the comments everyone. i was starting to wonder if my pics bore people.

jt, soon man. soon.

karl, that mummy eye is a trip. i think i might try placing it in the shade to see if it turns back to bright green .

wongkwp 01/09/2008 12:46 AM

NO! Leave it and see if the frags you make hold the same color. Than you can start calling this morph the Pharaoh's Eye Chalice;)

MrMikeB 01/09/2008 01:55 AM

Tim, I look forward to your monthly pics - I am always in awe of your colors and growth - please keep sharing!!!

kevin95695 01/09/2008 02:02 AM

More? Please?

kdblove_99 01/09/2008 02:28 AM

Tim,

I know you just went BB and when i get my 60 cube done i also want to do BB. Do you like it?

Also did you totally go BB or did you put starboard on bottom?

pbetito 01/09/2008 11:10 AM

As normal Tim, when I see your pics I say to myself..... Paul, get out of the hobby, you don't belong here! You and Karl seem to have mastered the art of growing amazing SPS.

1331 01/09/2008 11:38 AM

Very nice pics! What kind of lens are you using with your Rebel?

tfp 01/09/2008 12:52 PM

thanks again for the comments everyone. its good motivation to keep pressing on.

karl, i'll name it...Egyptian Lover, Egyptian Lover baby! (LOL, can't let go of my 80's!)

jeff, wait till you see that Ultimates Purple Monster in person...the camera can't even capture its shade of purple!

kevin, i might try some more pics today. per dr.'s orders, i'm not supposed walking around for another day (minor tear in left calf muscle).

kdblove, my tank is acrylic so i didn't need to use starboard on it. i miss the look of sand :(. but don't miss it scratching my tank up. i've got like 75lbs i'm contemplating putting in my fuge.

1331, using the 18-55mm lense it came with.

Reefugee 01/09/2008 12:54 PM

Tim - great shots! Is this your camera or a borrowed one? Santa got my wife an XTi for Christmas, and the thing has been attached to her. :P I want to get a macro lense for the camera.

tfp 01/09/2008 02:13 PM

minh, how funny - my wife got herself the xti for Christmas! :D
i'm just trying to get a feel for it. i dunno about getting a macro lense, them things are expensive :(.

Marko9 01/09/2008 02:15 PM

You can get a sigma for about 350-400, or 2 frag packs :D

Reefugee 01/09/2008 02:19 PM

My wife wants a Canon EF 70-200mm f2.8 IS USM lense.

[/img]http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/218249RN1YL._AA115_.jpg[/img]

It's a sweet lense. I think photography is going to be our "expensive" hobby. :P

Marko9 01/09/2008 02:25 PM

Minh- It can get more expensive than this hobby. I have three lenses now, a tripod, a shutter remote, and a few other goodies as well.

After all that, you have to process the pictures and they don't look anything like they should. It gets really frustarting. :(
