almost extinct coral
i was working in an office building today and ran past a plastic surgery office with a nice little 90g reef in the waiting room. the office was closed but i knocked anyways, and the surgeon answered the door and let me in. so i got to sit there for a while with him and talk about his tank. he has this big leather of some sort, i forget what he called it, but he said that its just about extinct in the wild. it comes from 2 parts of the world, handouras, and i forget where else. nice lookin stuff. he saidhe's had it for about 10years, and thaT he donated a large portion of it to the TEXAS STATE AQUARIUM for propagation efforts. my story sucks cuz i forgot all the good details, and its going nowhere, but i just watnted to share. oh yeah, and the coral almost looked like it was bleached out, but when you get up next to it and look at it you see a bunch of blue and pink hues. really cool lookin'. deffinately some kind of tree leather.
