Hi

I'm looking to buy a PH meter. Some one have try the cheap ones that are on sale on ebay ? Theres some of them that are 24/7. Are they reliable? Any Recommendations on brand, model or specs.. Don't have to be cheap i want something that works goods

Pinpoint is good.

If you are going to monitor pH, it might as well be right.

I'm very happy with my Pinpoint pH monitor. Just don't use the ac adapter with it, use batteries for accuracy.

Why not use AC adapter?

The AC is more prone to interference from ballasts and such that might be nearby. Not true of all pH meters nor all lights, but it is worth keeping in mind if the readings jump around oddly.

Pinpoint Here, very happy with it.

That explains when my sump lights or anything near it turns on/off why my PH jumps around.

I bought a Pinpoint Monitor about 7 months ago and regret it. I had a lot of difficulty callibrating it with the Pinpoint solutions and then consistently got readings about 0.1 - 0.2 lower than those on a variety of chemical test kits. Eric Borneman (established reef guru and author - contact him on his forum at marine.depot.com) talks about the problems with Pinpoint pH electrodes.

I dont have that problem, but I will watch it to see has I only had it a week.
