>200 lbs Live Rock for sale:Pennsylvania

Hey all. I'm downsizing my 75g to a nano and need to get rid of the large pieces of rock. The tank has been setup for 2 years. Selling price is $2.50 a pound. Local pickup only. But, I can drive so far if you buy enough of it. Again, there is probably about 250 lbs in this tank.
This rock is 50/50:
-Tonga Lalo (ordered from marinedepot.com)
-Fiji rock from LFS.
There are some nice big pieces. It's covered in coralline and has lots of treasures. I can take pictures if someone is interested in it.
I will sell it in 50 lb groups if that makes it easier.
I will include some soft and hard corals if someone wants all 250 lbs. (green/orange brain, yellow stars, mushrooms)
Let me know.

Last chance on this: Before I sell it all to my buddy for $350.

K-ROK 06/03/2007 09:10 AM

Let me tell a buddy about this.....he may be willing to make the drive for that price.

I am K-Rok's buddy. How much you want for all of it? I got like $200 on hand right now, but I will see what I can get together.

randyorr 06/03/2007 02:17 PM

Can you email me some pictures? randyorr@verizon.net

mecheng 06/03/2007 05:53 PM

I will email some pictures tomorrow. I have to borrow my gf's camera.

I had offered the lot of it for $350 to my buddy. I will sell it to you for $350 cash on pickup.

randyorr 06/04/2007 04:27 PM

Sounds good. I'm working on the money now. You sending me pics?

mecheng 06/04/2007 08:17 PM

I have emailed the photos to all of you that asked for them.

randyorr 06/04/2007 10:08 PM

I never got the pics. Can you resend them? randyorr@verizon.net

mecheng 06/05/2007 05:40 AM

Pics resent to those of you who didn't receive them the first time.

bededog 06/05/2007 06:20 AM

SOLD

You have already said that you were selling this to me and I confirmed it. Why are you still sending pics to other people?

mecheng 06/05/2007 08:48 AM

The original pictures that I sent did not arrive. I resent the pictures as asked.
I did say that I would sell to you. However, last night you started to go back on your original offer. I want to sell this rock and make sure that the corals find a good home. I told you that I will weigh the rock tonight and give you the exact weight. I will do that as promised.

randyorr 06/05/2007 10:15 AM

Pics look good, however that does not look like 200 lbs of rock. I have a 72 that is more full with rock and I have 110 lbs. You might want to weigh it. It is only fair that Bededog gets first dibs as he offered first. If he doesn't want it, and it weighs OK, then I will probably take it.

mecheng 06/05/2007 10:35 AM

Yes. I didn't know the exact weight of the rock. This is all from my show tank that I was reluctant to tear apart without some buyers in mind. I made a guess of 200 lbs. I know that the rock is pretty dense. I'll post the exact weight tonight after I take it out of the tank and put it on a scale. Don't forget that I am including $150 in inverts free with the purchase of the rock.

mecheng 06/05/2007 05:58 PM

Alright, I removed all of the rock from the tank and weighed it. It weighs 120 lbs altogether. You are welcome to bring a scale and weigh it yourself. I am willing to sell it for the $2.00/lb price that I offered for the 200 lbs. So, Matt I assume that this means you will take it for $240+$50=$290 cash. Let me know if you want it or I will go to the next person interested. I am still willing to meet you in West Virginia on Sunday morning as early as possible. Let me know.

randyorr 06/05/2007 07:53 PM

Let me know if it doesn't work out with your potential buyer. I can also drive to you to pick it up.

randyorr 06/07/2007 10:44 PM

Well, what's the word?

bededog 06/08/2007 01:15 PM

SOLD

Or at least I am supposed to be picking up the rock on Sunday morning. He didn't reply so I figured I would chime in. I am not backing out of the sale, for sure.

randyorr 06/08/2007 04:29 PM

Cool, thanks for letting me know. Enjoy the rock. Take care.
