Fish_wiz2 01/11/2008 09:53 PM

Skokie ave and Dempster Ave near (actually really close to) Old Orchard.

msu spartan 01/11/2008 09:55 PM

o thanks because im looking into a yellow watchman goby and it would b neat for the pair

DOTZ 01/11/2008 09:57 PM

Are they fish killers? I want one and my LFS here just got one in, but I'm afraid they will kill my snails, shrimp, hermits and fish. Do you know?

Fish_wiz2 01/11/2008 10:00 PM

I don't think so but they do make loud clicking sounds (sounds like a pistol) out of nowhere so if you want some noise in your tanks this shrimp is right for you.

msu spartan 01/11/2008 10:02 PM

o, is it that loud?

DOTZ 01/11/2008 10:04 PM

The noise wont bother too much, well as long as it's not an every other minute type thing. LOL I seen a vid were one killed a shrimp, and figured since it can kill a shrimp and eat it will it kill small fish and other things in my tank.

esdayal 01/11/2008 10:12 PM

I have a mated pair of pistol shrimp in my tank and i hardly hear them clicking once or twice.

msu spartan 01/11/2008 11:19 PM

The shrimp / fish combo was still there this afternoon. Has been there for at least 2 weeks now (it's up the street from my office, so I stop in once or twice a week) and looks good.

msu spartan 01/11/2008 11:23 PM

anyone know how much it is?

and what kinda fish is it?

msu spartan 01/11/2008 11:25 PM

o nevermind that is toooo far for me, its an hour away, dont wanna use 2 much gas;)

esdayal 01/11/2008 11:59 PM

I have a pair of clowns,a firefly and some cleaner shrimps...and no problem so far...

slumpysix 01/12/2008 01:17 AM

I haven't heard that they are fish killers, the shrimp correct? Mine just digs where ever the goby goes and doesn't bother anything. As far as the clicking goes, I have watched the shrimp and the noise looks to come from the shrimps claws jerking backwards. Here's a vid I posted awhile ago.
