my first real tank pics
This tank has been in production for six months now. I had a lot of help and support in this project, so thanks to those who have helped me get it up and off the ground.
Special thanks to slowradio for all the help and extra gear along the way. We took a bunch of pics tonight, more will be posted later. Enjoy! <a href="http://s51.photobucket.com/albums/f360/brettmackenzie72/?action=view¤t=100_1860.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f360/brettmackenzie72/100_1860.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s51.photobucket.com/albums/f360/brettmackenzie72/?action=view¤t=100_1869.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f360/brettmackenzie72/100_1869.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s51.photobucket.com/albums/f360/brettmackenzie72/?action=view¤t=100_1863.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f360/brettmackenzie72/100_1863.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s51.photobucket.com/albums/f360/brettmackenzie72/?action=view¤t=100_1874.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f360/brettmackenzie72/100_1874.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s51.photobucket.com/albums/f360/brettmackenzie72/?action=view¤t=100_1852.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f360/brettmackenzie72/100_1852.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> |

finally, i wanted to add a note on the sump that we installed the other day. the tank itself is a 29G. we knew that we had room for a 10G sump under the stand, but we got to thinking. since the tank was moved from a spot on the side of a wall in his old apartment to a corner in his new house (only one casualty in the move, btw), we found that there was all sorts of room behind the stand to work with. we decided to install a 20G sump outside of the stand. in order to make it fit well with the equipment that we were using, we had to build an 8 inch stand out of 2x4's for the sump. all in all, the new build went very well. here are some pics of our unconventional sump setup. i'm sure he'll chime in with details as soon as he gets his internet connection up and running.

simply curious...anybody have any comments about the sump setup? did we make a good or bad call there? btw, i'm already drilling him about the drip loops under the sump. he promises me that he'll get it taken care of. peace out....drunk in tucson with the wife...life is good:mixed: |
Looks great!
