Beautiful! Who is the maker of your tank?

invincible569 01/07/2008 10:28 PM

WOW crazy4acros, you have a work of art there! And thanks for the compliment!

crazy4acros 01/07/2008 10:38 PM

Maximus, The tank is a Lee-Mar Rimless Starphire.

invincible569, Your previous and current tank is one of my Idol tanks, thanks for the inspiration.

Maximus 01/07/2008 10:42 PM

Ahh, my last tank was a Leemar. Great company. Do you perhaps have any closeup shots of the tanks construction? I would love to see some detailed shots of a Leemar rimless tank.

143gadgets 01/07/2008 10:42 PM

Sweet!!! now all you need is a bluetooth mouse and keyboard to complete your iMac. ;)

crazy4acros 01/07/2008 10:53 PM

143gadgets, Yeah i should have got the upgrade that came with it hahaha!

Maximus, sorry i don't have any pics of the tanks construction, but i am satisfied with the quality of the tank. I love Elos, and i'm sure yours is one beautiful and well constructed tank.

cpreefguy 01/07/2008 11:51 PM

That looks amazing, definitely one of the more unique aquascapes out there! It gives me a lot of inspiration and ideas for my new 24" cube, so thank you for sharing those pics.

Mikigo 01/08/2008 03:49 AM

Crazy4acros

Just upgrade to a larger tank and tried to do open aquascaping like yours. I failed miserably. You have given me the inspiration to try again. Any closeup pics of the rock works? How they come together?
Thanks for sharing.

Ewan 01/08/2008 07:43 AM

Outstanding aquascape.

IMHO, you're fully stocked. I'd grow-out the corals you have and be very, VERY picky about adding any more corals. This tank will look fantastic when the corals grow a bit.

This is just my opinion! Keep up the great work.

adddo 01/08/2008 09:29 AM

Looks great!

fatrip 01/08/2008 09:49 AM

hi, i am wondering what else is giving you flow bsides that tunze in the corner?

nm i see the other one now.

crazy4acros 01/08/2008 10:27 AM

cpreefguy, Thanks! Good luck with your 24" cube. Aquascaping is the fun part but a pleasing view from all 3 sides is a bit challenging.

Mikigo, I'll try to take some shots as soon as the lights turn on.

Ewan, I agree i am gonna let these guys grow out and not add any more for now.

JRaquatics 01/08/2008 10:39 AM

I really dig your setup. That shaddow shot looks just like a bonzai. Were did you get those seat that are positioned infront of your tank?

Again this tank gets my vote for having one of the best aquascapes I have ever seen.

[B]Thank you so much guys! I noticed a great looking shadow of the aquascape when the morning sun hits the tank so i snap a shot of it.

very nice. I love it!

crazy4acros 01/08/2008 11:39 AM

WOW naka thank you for your positive input it means a lot! Your tank has also had a lot of influence on mine. It has really inspired me to go the same route, Thank you for the inspiration.

JRaquatics, I got those seats at a local modern furniture shop, i thought i needed something round to offset all the square and rectangles in the room.

Again thank you all for your wonderful comments!

ClownReef® 01/08/2008 11:54 AM

WOW! amazing aquascape.. good job!

miwoodar 01/08/2008 12:15 PM

That looks fantastic. Do you have any top-downs showing the spacing?

Maximus, I see you're in Monterey, nice! I'm not too far from you over here in Salinas. I see we are into the same things lol, very nice NSX! I've always loved the NSX, such a beautiful car. I own a 300zxTT with ~600rwhp, hence the name lol. What LFS, if any, do you frequent? Anyway, sorry to hijack and get off topic.

Once again, tank looks awesome, Crazy! Thanks for the full room shots, seriously a piece of art you have there. The morning shot is epic!

crazy4acros 01/08/2008 01:26 PM

I shot some pics before the lights came on, i figured it might show more details on the parts where they join. I try to use the zip ties in a way that it wont show too much, the rods and epoxy are hard to see due to it being used to butt two pieces together. Enjoy

The top down shots really show off the depth youve achieved. This is definatly my favortie aquascape Ive ever seen.

Ive always thought I was a good aquascaper. :D

My wife keeps shooting down the idea of me using rods and fixing the rock permenantly. I keep telling her, its a sound idea, I could just never show her some one who applied it this well. Now your tank may have her convinced that its possible :D

crazy4acros 01/08/2008 02:54 PM

Just thought id shoot some random shots with the lights on. Again sorry for the crappy photos, Enjoy

With creative aquascapes like this, they should start having reef aquascaping competition's like ADA's worldwide show.

reeferpnoy 01/08/2008 03:04 PM

G*O*U*R*G*E*O*U*S*!... thats all I can say.. !

naka 01/08/2008 03:19 PM
