I wonder if god thought this much about creating pillars for his big saltwater tank...

pledosophy 10/21/2007 02:19 AM

You want to come over and do mine?

Looks sweet.

KMP 10/21/2007 11:31 AM

They look great. I will have to try to build some cool pillars on my next build :)

ladi8t3r 10/21/2007 02:49 PM

Very nice!

justinpsmith 10/21/2007 02:55 PM

So did you end up attaching them to each other in some way? Or are they just going to be well stacked?

KMP 10/21/2007 04:14 PM

they are sturdy as is; however, just for that extra bit of assurance, i will be using some acrylic rods to prevent any possible shifting.

wpnorton 11/03/2007 11:43 AM

I'm heading out to Denios...you want me to pick one up for you?

MikeyNYC 11/03/2007 07:25 PM

i like the first pics ya showed better.......but in all honesty it your tank you will be the one looking and working with it on a regular bases so make it how you want it.

KMP 12/02/2007 12:42 AM

appreciate your honesty. that's why i'm sharing. i'm waiting on a base for my stand; in the mean time i keep playing with the rocks :-)

this arrangement looks better in person. the first pics were a bit tall (22" tallest pillar - without sand underneath). on a 24" tank that left me no room to put anything on top of the rocks. the new arrangement is 18" on the left and 15" on the right.
