Anyone with a larger tank 180 +, I am curious on where you heat your tank? Sump, overflow tower, etc.? Any temp variance? I'm heating through my sump with a temp swing of 2 degrees. I think that should be fine because of the ocean temp has to change with currents, sunlight, ect. Any thoughts?

I heat in the sump and have a 2 degree swing as well. You should be golden. For that matter, I have a larger temp swing during the summer months with the chiller.

what type/size heaters? Where is temp. probe? I only have a 110 but it stays within .01, useing 2X150 Ebo-Jaegers in sump and probe in corner of tank.

wow, I never thought I would hear this from someone in phoenix. my only concern is keeping the temperature down, as the lights and all the pumps that run my system always keep the temperature of the tank about 2 to 3 degrees above ambient temps.

I have 2x 300W titanium heaters in my sump (180gallon) and the temperature probe is in the tank. They only have to come on in the winter at night because the house is nice and chilly. I get a 1.5 degree variance in temp, tank goes from 79-80.5

I also have 2 300w titanium heaters in the sump of my 180 gallon. With a controller and chiller, it always keeps it within .5 degree. (80.5 - 81)
