The tank is a 240 gallon with 2 huge overflow boxes that house 2 2" drains in each overflow. Simply you can push as much water thru as you wish. Tank dimensions are 7 ft long, 28 inches front to back, and 24 inches deep.
With hood and stand the entire setup stands 63 inches tall.
The 2 shelves I built in just slide into place for access to plumbing, lighting or storage. I have the tank plummed thru the floor into a 150 gallon rubbermaid tub. So only my halides reside under the stand. I paid $2500 for the tank. There is no livestock left, pickup is the only option. When the tank is empty 2 men can carry it with little problem. There were a few small cracks on the top of the tank, when I had my 400 watt halides mounted too close to the acrylic, they were patched 3 years ago, and have never been a problem. Top of tank is 3/4 inch acrylic, and the sides are all 1/2. A photo below shows the patches

http://www.celebratechildren.net/tank_cracks.JPG

Here is what is included now.

Tank, stand, hood, a 5 foot by 2 ft wide 3/4 inch acrylic sump that is divided into 2 chambers separately and each chamber has 3 1.5 inch overflows.

a sequance pump that pushes over 4000 gallons per hour.

a litermeter that has just been rebilt about 6 months ago, for auto topoff.

a few titanium heaters, and misc pumps. All kinds of extra plumbing whoknows what else.

approx 100 to 150 pounds of live rock. This rock is spotless, and been in the tank for 4 plus years.

150 gallon rubbermaid sump, that all is plumbed into.

I will probably add a few more pics, but if you want a big tank, you would be foolish not to take this deal.

Rob

There is over $5k worth of items here, we just want it out of our home now.

Total price you pick up, $1500 FIRM no further discounts.

Image shows 150 gallon rubbermaid sump, and the acrylic sump, or frag tank.

Also included 1 400 watt pfo ballast and diamond reflector

This is silly how much stuff is here for the $1500

It could be a very Merry Christmas to someone who always wanted a large tank.

There is no livestock any longer.

The main items are the 240 tank, custom hood and stand pictured, approx 100-150 pounds of rock
1 400 watt pfo metal halide ballast and diamond lumenarc reflector pictured.

1 5ft by 2 ft acrylic frag tank or sump pictured.

1 litermeter auto topoff unit

150 large black rubbermaid tub that is my sump, with all plumbing

1 sequence large external pump that pushes 4000 plus gallons per hour.

bunches of misc pumps, heaters test kits, chemicals, a brand new bucket of salt or 2

A ton of stuff for the $1500 that is for sure.

You will need a large truck or moving van even better.

The whole system is hooked up and running still.

It will be a long day of tearing apart, and loading for sure.

I would require a downpayment via paypal, then the balance needs to be paid cash on arrival.

I will be happy to help tear apart and load it.

It could be a spectacular x-mas gift for sure.

O yeah there will be 2 Magnavore magnetts to clean the tank with that sell for like $70==$100 a piece

Also included are (3) 3/4 sea swirls that are plumbed into the tank.

This a firm price.

It is also a crazy steal for someone looking for a large tank.

I dont deserve as much credit as the grunts over here do. They go on patrole every day and take pot shots every time they go out. I sit in a shop and wait for a jet to break. I can walk to and from work (on base) without worrying about getting shot at. I don't want to downplay the danger here but i just dont have as much to worry about as others. But if you really want to thank me, how about some aquarium stuff?? Just playing, i now return the thread to the seller. Sorry for the Hijacking.

I sent an E-mail to a friend who is looking for a 240... We'd be coming from Vermont. Is the tank and equipment broken down already, or is that something we'd have to do when we got there? We'd probably need a place to stay.

The tank is still up and running. I could start tearing it apart with a deposit that would be made with paypal.

If the tank and equipment is broken down you probably don't need a place to stay.

If you do have to stay over I would deduct the price of a one night hotel stay off the total. If we did not have lil kids you would be welcome to crash here.

Hi - I am very interested - I am in New Jersey by the shore - can you provide some more pics - my email is chris.cavaluzzi@comcast.net - I was originally looking to purchase a new 180 gal glass tank. How is the acrylic other than the top - any scratches? - is the stand/canopy home made, what kind of wood? - additional pictures of the stand/canopy would be great. Is the lighting a single 400W MH bulb? how many? - Please send me as much as possible via email - I can also shoot you my cell phone number by PM I am very interested..

Thanks

let me get a bunch of info and pics together for you, and hopefully have them for you tomorrow.

It is a steal of a deal, I just am out of the hobby.

Here I figure it will be best to add photos here so I do not have to keep posting them.

First pic shows tank hood and stand as of 12/27/06

No bad scratches to worry about, and the beauty of acrylic is the tank can be sanded, I can show you how with a magnavore magnet. I have done it in the tank when it was fully stocked with no bad effects to any fish or coral.

http://www.celebratechildren.net/dscn2927.jpg

2ND image shows the front of the hood and 1 of the 2 removable shelves underneath removed to show access.
http://www.celebratechildren.net/dscn2928.jpg

3rd image shows a closeup of the construction of the stand underneath. It is 4 x 4 lumber, this thing could support a truck easy.
It is coated with furniture grade 3/4 birch plywood.
http://www.celebratechildren.net/dscn2929.jpg

last photo is just a different angle to look at the depth of the removeable shelves. These used to hold all of my fish and coral books, but now hold kiddie toys. LOL
http://www.celebratechildren.net/dscn2930.jpg

This is an absolute steal for the person who does not mind going out of their way alittle bit and coming to get it.

I only have the 1 400 watt pfo light and diamond lumenarc reflector left with this set.

Further question feel free to ask here or pm me.

Thanks Rob

Gratuitous bump for a great guy.

I bought a 110 from Rob several years ago and this is a massive deal for some lucky person.

BTW Rob, love the message. I had a problem with communicating with an online retailer and used that. They called back within 5 minutes laughing their tushies off.
