I jujst bought 3 400w mh and I am just wondering if I need the reflective shield? I don't have any and I am pretty sure that I need them but just want to make sure.

you don't have to use them, but it's pointless to use the mh's without them.

with that said, yes, get them.....'Spider' reflectors are cheap, easy to install, and are pretty good reflectors.

ohh....and get some fans if you don't already have them, as 3x400W will create lots of light and LOTS of heat;)
