Curious if I can just leave my 20l without a cover of any sort. I like the "open" look and I don't want to trap heat with a solid top, but I'm considering some eggcrate just to keep my clown & engineer goby from going carpet diving.

What do you think? My light is firmly fixed above the tank and there's no worry about dropping something into it, or of splashes, etc. The only concern is the fish jumping. Is this really a concern? Do you think they'll stay in the water? I'd prefer to stay completely topless if it's viable.

Just a clown (will be 2, eventually) and an engineer goby.

the goby may jump out.
