i am looking for some ideas for a large fish for my tank.

it is nothing fancy. just a tank skimmer and some powerheads.

i have a foxface. and 2 false percula just now.

i want to get 2 bangaii cardinals, 3-5 blue green chromis.

i have 2 camel shrimp and lots of hermits and snails.

i want to get a show fish something that will get quite big.

it would have to be hardy and good for a beginer.

does andyone have any sugestions.

Get a nice Blue Hippo Tang, or a SoHal Tang. They both get good sizes as adults and are very colour .Great addition to any tank, and fairly hardy.

Sohal tangs can get mean. I like a blue trigger or pinktail, or maybe a crosshatch trigger. Good temperments.

just joining since I have a similiar size tank...would the triggers be a threat to the shrimp/hermits? How about to an urchin?

most triggers will have no problem making snack out of your clean up crews( urchin included) A juvie emperator is nice looking or a flame angel that would definitely add more color to your tank

Any of the large angels are going to outgrow your system, as would a sohal tang or even the hepatus. What are the dimensions of the tank?
IMO, select one of the fairy wrasses for some great color. If the tank is well established and has a fair amount of live rock, you could also consider one of the hardier butterflies. Most would be fine in that size tank.

I agree if the tank is a 110 Tall, being 4 feet long. If its a 110 Long, I would say you might be able to get away with a p. hepatus in there for quite some time, but not for life.

A chorus wrasse is a great looking fish. Or perhaps a red sea Sailfin Tang? Both have great color and will get to be a decent size.
