250w MH wont come on

Anyone ever have any trouble with getting a bulb to light or stay lit? Sometimes it won't light unless I plug and unplug it and sometimes it lights but then shuts down after 3,4,5hours of burning. I called icecap and they say it's not the ballast. It's a icecap 250 e-ballast with single ended hamilton 14k bulb.

Do you have just the one halide? Maybe you could swap bulbs if not, see if the problem follows the bulb.
