Currently I am running a remora skimmer in the sump on my 29g. The total system volume is right at 34g and eventually I will be keeping SPS corals. I have never really been impressed with the output of the remora so I was thinking about replacing it with a different skimmer. I really want to overskim this tank so I was thinking of going all out and getting the Coralife SS 220 Venturi and getting a nice oceanrunner or Eheim 1260 pump to feed it. This would cost roughly $240. Does this sound like a good plan or would it be better to go with a higher-quality skimmer with a lower system rating?
