I have 2 maxijet 1200s in my 20 cube. They ar awesome and do the job. Temp is constant 78F, corals are doing ex and algae is at very min. Cost is low and they last forever.

i have two MJ 1200s as well in my 20L. that is A LOT of flow. IMO the two Tunze 6025s would be too much for the tank. i like having a powerhead on each side of the tank causing random flow. not sure you would get the same effect with one Tunze 6025....

IMO, the MJ 900"s are a better way to go. They are more efficent than the 1200's and less watts=less heat.:)

1200, 295gph/20w=14.75 gal/w

900, 230gph/8.5w=27.0 gal/w

some people have reported sand storms in the 29g bc with the nano stream. i would like to try one but it may be too much.

I recommend 2 ph's for random flow.

SPS, BB = 2 nano streams or mj mods

SPS, SB = 2 MJ 1200's

SPS+softies, SB = 2 MJ 900's or 600's considering livestock.

Let the beatings continue....:hammer:

How about using a "wavemaker" powerstrip/timer (can't recall exact name of the thing) to alternate between two maxijet 900's?

Can the Tunze nanostreams be used on a wavemaker, does anyone know?
