I set up my 8 gallon Bio Cube about a week and half ago, using partially cured live rock, live water from my 65 and seeded it with live sand from my 65 also.

Everything is coming along nicely, and I'm starting to get a diatom bloom on the sand and live rock so am looking for recommendations on the best clean up crew for my tank. I snagged a couple margarita snails and a couple hermits from my 65 to start the clean up process, but am curious what the best number of each for my 8 gallon cube?

Thanks for any help or recommendations.

I usually go with different snails and hermits to get the job done.

In an 8 gallon I would get:

2-4 nassarius snails for the sand bed.
2-4 blue leg hermits
2-4 scarlet hermits
2-4 Astrea snails for the glass and rocks
2-4 cerith snails

You may want to start off with 2 of each, then add in some more of whatever if you notice a certain type of algae comming in.
