There are many out there and looking through threads is driving me crazy...
So I have the options of EPDM, ABS and Butel? Confussed.
I have heard of stories where the liner has seaped and killed the live stock.
I need a liner that can take UV and also Ozone in the water.
Any suggestions of link are welcomed.

I've got the exact same question. Tagging along.

EPDM
I would go out and buy rubber roof material. It is the same stuff, but cheaper because it is not labeled as "pond liner"

EPDM is the newer and thicker stuff. Should work fine for you, but best bet is to email Tetra or another EPDM pond liner supplier and ask.

EPDM or Butyl if you have the money. Butyl is a real rubber. As such it isn't quite as tear resistant as the others, nor very UV resistant but it is very pliable, can be welded easily, is more temp and chemichal tolerant. It's also more expensive.
I've used both as pond liners. Currently have butyl in my koi pond. But will probably go back to EPDM when I remodel the pond in the spring. The cost difference wasn't worth offset by my remideling and pond overhauling bug.

I have found Firestone pond liner 1mm thinck made of EPDM.
It is £100 per 5X5meters - So going to go with that. It also states that it is Ozone safe which is re-assuring.
Thanks for the feedback - got to love this reefcentral community.

Generally speaking EDPM liners should be safe, but try to use pond stuff if you can find it.
Most pond liners have a 30 year UV rating.
Be cautious with roofing liner. It is not all "fish safe".
Go for the thicker stuff if you feel that there will be wear and tear. 45 mill is what we use on all of our Koi ponds that get filled with large boulders.

If you contact Dave Mokry at oceansfloor.net (his store number is listed there) he can help you out. He has a huge saltwater pond in his store. I don't know what type of liner he uses but I'm sure he'd help you out....he's a really great guy.
Happy Thanksgiving !

pondliner.com is a great place to get Firestone EPDM it is 45 ml. The roofing Epdm is treated with an algaecide and may cause you problems. IMO
