It's done! It's done! My living room is finally painted! I do have a couple of spots to touch up but not until hubby takes the kiddos grocery shopping. I was up until 2 am yesterday getting things done. It was WAAAAAAAAAYYYY bigger of a project than I figured but it looks great!! Before and after pictures coming later!! :D Yippeeee!!! *dancing re commences.....*

What color did you choose, Emily? We just did our LR in Spanish Red - still have to do the moldings. But isn't it great? You feel so accomplished when you're done.

Now the decorating starts...:)

I'll get some pics up but the walls are a deep country blue, the ceiling is a taupe color and the trim is cream. Looooooove it! Especially compared to the ugly baby blue with flowery paper trim that was up. I spared you pictures of the wallpaper trim. It was too hideous. :D

Hey, Em, I hear that Binghampton got flooded again with the recent rain - my secretary's family home was under 14" of water. You guys OK where you are?

Thanks for asking! We are about an hour away from there and on the side of a hill so we are high and dry. :) Our house was actually the 'safe' house during the flood of '72 when most of Corning was under water. I feel bad for them though, they were still trying to recover from the flooding this spring. They need some sort of levy system there that's for sure.

My uncle runs the BC open in Endicott and they had to cancel it and move it to another location this summer due to the flooding of the Enjoi Golf Club. Broke his heart - he lives for that golf tournament!!! Fortunately, the house is high up on a hill overlooking the valley, so they were all OK. But the pictures of the golf course were really bad!!!!

Glad to hear you and yours are safe and dry!!!!!

I don't dare redo the wood floors here. I'd have to chop the toes off all my dogs. :D :D ;)

You never realize how subtly dingy old pastel paint gets with household smoke, cooking, etc, until you put on a new coat, and things just look clean and bright again. Nice job, and worth a Snoopy dance!
