Cannister to skimmer

Can I use the out of my cannister for the in for my skimmer? What if i put a UV inbetween?

dont think you'll have enough gph for it. but depends on your canister filter, and also your skimmer. what about the venturi? you can diy a venturi for it? will it be the only thing powering your skimmer?

IME if the cannister meets the flow requirement for the protein skimmer then you have no worries.
