Ceramic Rocks?

I have seen some places selling ceramic rocks. Anyone ever tried making these? What is involved? Is this something you couold do at home?

I looked at trying this with another person locally, but from my understanding, if there has been anything fired in the kiln prior to the ceramics, you run the risk of getting that into the ceramics. Whether or not this is a big deal or not, I don't know. I just ended up buying the reef ceramics instead. I think that it would be pretty hard to duplicate the caves and valleys that the reef ceramics have.

if you have a kiln at home you could, otherwise the thousands of degrees required are a bit difficult to acheive.

Im pretty sure that Raku pottery can be made using wood fires and the low temperature has the added benefit of making the pots more porous.
