New Tank stand

A Tank I have Bought.

Its a 36"x18"x18" Main Tank with Stockman Stand Pipe Fitted.
Sump is 36"x18"x12".

I have had this tank for about 2 - 3 months but with other issues all my time has been used else where.

But the passion and the drive to get a great looking reef tank is still there....


This is what i have done within 3 weeks, I am no craftsman and i not a joiner. In fact im not in any trade other computers.

so please be kind.

Its taken approx 40 hrs to build, but i have no workshop so its a kitchen construction and tidy up job every day for 3 days then back at work for 4 days.

Yes teh original steal box section stand was pre made by a cad expert. but he moved home in winter last year and all his fish died so, he decided to give it up after 6 months of debating.

I built the stand from scratch, Its pine,im going to build a matching canopy with halide section and 2/4 t5's as well as built in temp reader and fans.

Its not fully complete the stand i have some more stuff to add to it, final touch as they may say. And then a good sand down and prep for the stain, followed by 3-4 coats of hard wearing varish "satin" I personally dis like the shiney look of gloss.
