Closed Loop pump mods

I was wonder what pumps everyone uses on their closed loops? and if it's possible to MOD a rio (i know they suck) or a maxijet to be able to run a CL, if not, are there any pumps (preferably under $20) that could be run on a CL?

Instead of a closed loop (because you are limiti g yourself with the choice of a $20 pump), I would construct a surge device. IMO, CL's need the big pumps.

well, i'm not limiting myself money wise to a $20 pump, just flow wise lol, it's only ~2-3g, it's a really strange footprint, 4-5"wide (it's got a wavy front), 1ft tall, and like 1'6" long

i think what i'm gonna do is just put an external over to a maxijet hooked to a spraybar,
