could you switch the T5's (or VHO's, PC's) with the halides and still get a good light distrobution? seems safer than moving the halides up and down, they tend to crack after a while IME. also, do you leave the front open or is it skinned with ply wood? nice plans, might have to steal them :D

Havent built it yet
My thoughts for having the MH in the front was that I'd prefer to have the more intense light forward tilted slightly back.
If I put the MH in back, then it has to be tilted forward to avoid the overflows, and then I lose leakage from the front glass.
I only flip the front section up for major maintenance, so I think I'm alright with regard to wearing out the bulbs by flipping.
