Here is a quick and easy feeding timer project. Shouldnt take more than a few minutes to put together.
Elk960 timer board $20

Prep the cord

Give it 12vdc Any transformer will work only need 40ma

Stuff it in a radio shack plastic box, adjust the timer 1-60 minutes and its done.
