Most likely too weak.

Depends on how big your tank is and what you are keeping. I run one in my 12g Mantis tank.

3 Maxijet 1200.

Let me rephrase that. It’s not a closed loop…I have two connected to pipe that runs from back of the tank to the front aimed to the back of the tank. One in the middle is just open to shoot towards the back.

54 corner.

Kind of like this

Mine runs under the sand/rock and shoots backwards creating some random flow.

does it work well?

Yeah for a 12g it works really well. I am running a MJ 900 on 1/2" CPVC, and have end caps on the opening that I drilled. If you just leave them open there is not enough flow/pressure to really be noticeable. It just really depends on what you are trying to achieve.

i have the same thing. i used a threaded pvc reducer. drilled the hole to the maxi jets out size. glued the reducer to the maxi jet. then used a threaded piece of pvc to connect to it.

to heck with this i will post pics tonight. i need to clean the thing.

hey you need to post a better pic of that mantis tank!

You could just use 1/2" flex. It fits right over the nozzle on a 1200

that is what I did 1/2" flex to a barb then so on and so on

I use a MJ900 in a 15 gallon. I have two outlets coming out of the sand in the front corners. I used the MJ900 because it only uses 1/3 the power (HEAT) that the MJ1200 uses. R
