Healthy-looking fish, Jeff! My yellow is well on his way to rotundity. My juvenile hippo tang is the current chubster, though. I imagine he's pretty similar in girth to your yellow, proportionally.

nice fish!!
what and how often do you feed him?

Seawead selects everyday and occasionaly soaked in Selcon and Zoe.

Also he eats flakes and some frozen food fed to the rest of the tank daily. He is a piglet.

I never realized how thick this fish is until I took that picture.

Hey Jeff,

Do you have any updated pictures of your tank?

Thanks,

That's a beaut:) .
I just added a really nice looking Kole tang to my reef. He is fat like yours. He is so mellow, he does speed around a bit but none of the fish, including my out and about sunburst anthias, look at him twice. Unfortunately he is not one for the yummy green macros all over the tank. After more research Kole's prefer micro algaes. What a bummer as I had hoped he would feast on my lovely green macros. I have yet to train him to the nori, he is afraid of the holder:rolleyes: , but in time.... Anyone with Kole tangs that graze on the green macros in their tank give me your stories so I can have some hope.

512 actual gallons and 700 pounds of MI rock. 84x40x40.

30 SPS frags
few softies from old 75.

Should look more mature in a year or so. Tank is only 4 months old.

Jeff,

I just went back and looked at your tank. Man, that is about the coolest setup I have ever seen. Very well done. Well thought out and a pleasure to look at.

Oh, have you noticed how many of us male reefers suffer from premature hair loss;) ? What's with that anyway?

Garee,
It actually did not take that long to get that picture. The way I did it was put my camera in multi shot mode and it will take 3 frames per second up to 8 shots total before the flash memory fills and it needs to dump the data to the one gigabyte microdrive. I just got the Tang in focus and shot for a couple of minutes and got a couple of it from the front and back. That was the best shot I got. That feature makes taking pictures of fish so much easier. It is a Cannon D30 SLR digital camera.

Alde,
I haven't realy lost my hair. It has just been sliding onto my back.

Rock Anemone,
Just be glad you could not see the rest of me above the tank. :eek2:

Zight,
I have thought about breaking out the scuba gear and getting a tank to do some work on the bottom.:smokin:

Ohhh so that´s exactly what´s happening to me too!!:(

BTW, isn´t really a pain in the a** to have to move something on the bottom of your tank and have to get half of your body into the tank?

That´s why my tank isn´t more higher.
