i have a durso in my overflow and i had a flushing sound that would occur approx. every minute or so, so i made the air hole in the top of the durso larger which fixed the flushing noise, however now i have a constant gurgling noise coming from that larger air hole that i made in the top of the durso. any suggestions on how to fix the gurgling? thanks

Find a tub that fits that hole snug and push it in several inches. Stick some silicone on the end of the tub that is sticking out and use tooth pick to fine tune it.

thanks for the replies, i put a piece of tubing in the hole and cover the open part of the hole with my finger and it seems to quiet it down. got the idea from the gurgle burster, i guess i have to use some type of silicone to close the gap and keep the tubing in there snug. anyone knoe the best type of slicone or material to use for this?? thanks

You could just shell out for a new cap and re-drill the hole to the appropriate size.

GE silicone II Windows and Doors. Home depot and lowes carry them.

Also, you can clip off the tubing with some paperclip. stick anything in there to reduce the air flow. I'm sure you can find something in the house to do this.
