What is wrong with people? I know nothing about parenting. But I know there is something majorly wrong with these people on TV. Are these people paid actors?

On the show, this father-in-law is constantly picking on and demeaning his 11 year old step-daughter. He was trying to get her to go swimming and she didn't want to because she was just wearing a white shirt for a top. So what does he do? He grabs her by the wrists, and screaming and kicking, he drags her through the mud and into the water. I'm thinking "my god I'm watching child molestation on prime time TV".

Then later he calls her a baby, and says "get over it".

If I was there I would break that guy's jaw.

Maybe I'm just sheltered, but something is wrong with these people, big time. I feel so bad for that little girl.

I think that I have watched that show once and it seemed pretty rough! I haven't watched it since.

The previews are enough to scare me. I think most of that crap is egged on for tv. I heard that one woman went on a talk show crying about how bad they made her look. Duh!

I saw that show and the stepfather was a jerk to those two girls the whole time. However, the pond incident showed that he was a SUPERJERK and just proves he needs a parenting class and that he doesn't understand 11~12 year old girls at all. The girls real mom is a loony as well as she is preferring her "rob the cradle" boy-toy over the needs of her own two daughters.

I don't normally watch these shows but I fully intend to watch the second half next week. I'm hoping the switched mom reads him the riot act.

My neighbor was on trading spouses it was by far the funniest thing I had ever seen. I am laughing now just thinking about it. He was a strict southern baptist father with a homeschool, women do not work atittude and was paired up with a middle to left fun loving women He actualy counted to three once on her. By far the funniest thing I have ever seen. I live in what is basically a very large conservative area just south of Cincinnati in Kentucky.

My family and I laugh about that show all the time. I can't believe people volunteer to have thier lives displayed on TV not to mention turned upside down. Don't these people have anything better to do with thier time? I told my family if they wanted to enter us on wife swap......they better hope the other faimly isn't better or I won't come back! Trading Spouses is another one that I could never see myself doing. What motivates these peopleto do a show like that?

i think it is hilarious, you can pretty much assume they are losers when you turn on the show!
