View Full Version : Who has T5s on their BIG tanks?

I'm wanting to put T5s on a 135gal. I have not seen a T5 fixture that is 6 foot long. What are my options.

You could get two 3' fixtures and stagger them

The 3' lamps are not 3' so I do not think you would even have to stagger them.

What kind of wattage should I shoot for? I don't think two 3' fixtures would put out enough, would they?

I have a 135 and use 6-80 watt T-5's these are 5 foot long.
I stagger them for better coverage, I also use icecap ballast which over drives them. This is plenty of light, I can keep sps on the bottom and have very good color. I mounted them in my canopy.
