View Full Version : 10 gallon enough to qt a new yellow tang

I am starting to look for a yellow tang (smaller size) to add to my tank, my display tank is a 90g but i only have a 10 gallon I have used to qt all my other fish, is the 10 gallon going to be enough for a small tang for about a month?

hard to say, but you could get a new/used 20gal for cheap.

yeah I will if I need to, but if it would be okay in a 10g (a small tang) for a month I would rather just go with what I have.

I know I see tangs in small tanks at lfs, but does not mean the tangs are okay with it.

tangs need swimming room, that is why i had mentioned the 20gal.
