Off topic, but how did you take such a beautiful picture? So clear and focused! What's your camera equipment? :D

thanks - yeah, I figured it was a porcelain - there are quite a few different porcelain crabs though....

thanks for the comment rappo - cam is a canon 350 plus Tamron 90mm macro.

cheers Chuck - I had come across a couple of those pages, but the first one is new and very useful. The one in my pic looks similar to the edwardsii specimens to me. The other one I posted on MD looks like it might be a galatinus. This confused me because on wetwebmedia they have galatinus listed with the common name of 'shame-faced crab' (which I believe are actually Calappa sp.)! Thanks again!

Im with Rappo. VERY NICE PIC. I have a Sony DSC-W1 and cant seem to get a pic that comes close to that in the tank. Think I need to get a new cam! :)

Calappa gallus was my favorite crab! His moltings always threw me off though, tricky devil.
