I typically replace my DI resin in plenty of time to keep my TDS at .000. This time however I didn't make it and the TDS of my makeup water is .001. Should I toss this water out (it's 44 gallons) or go ahead and use it? Will it make that big of a difference to the tank and how would it manifest itself if it can't be used?

Regards,

Pat

It is likely OK to use, but your normal replacement routine is a good one. :)

Silica is a likely first thing to break through, so if you notice any undesirable diatom activity, that might be a warning to not use any more of it.

I'd use it but thats just me. Its likely the whole 44 gallons was not 001. :D

Thanks everyone. I think I will go ahead and use it and see how it does. I agree the whole 44 gallons was not 001. It just recently lost all it's color.

Thanks Randy/Billy.
