how big do they grow? what size tank is a min.?

I read they max out at about 8 inches in the wild, and that 30 gallons is the minimum tank size.

You'll be hard pressed to find a Dwarf over 4''s. A 30 gallon would suffice, but a nice 40 gallon breeder tank would be a very nice choice.

Hi Guys:
Ed is right on the money.
In general terms these fish stay about 4-5" long. Their one of the better dwarf lionfish to keep, great personalities and often times quite active. I have seen them big, in fact i have a bigger one, but its more of a rarity. A 30gal would eb the smallest tank and more like a 40 gal or so would be better.
Make sure you ween them off of live foods.

I would just like to add that some dwarfs are finicky eaters....i wish i had gotten mine but my stupid parents decided to leave town early so i couldn't get one....i hope they have some the next time im back there
