Took me 3 days to get this pic. Had to catch some in the end to get a half decent image.

It is about 1/2 inch long. It's jaws appear to be on the underside of the head.

Need more pics or info?

Not the common bristleworm, but possibly one of the 10,000 varieties of it.

I'd wait for id. I usually go on the principle that most worms are ok, most crabs aren't. But I'd hold this baby pending id, because if you've got him, you've probably got his mama.b

I've tons of them. The rock they are crawling all over is 2 years old. Moved the rock to a new tank and had explosion of them with no fish or other predators yet.

Hoping for positive ID for Project DIBS (http://www.projectdibs.com) as they seem to breed easily.

I have no reason to believe that they are anything except beneficial.

Yes and sand. But on the glass they normally only go up a few inches before retreating backwards.
