View Full Version : Precision Marine-opinions pls

I just bought a precision marine XL-2 skimmer for my 240g with 100g sump. I havnt seen many reviews or opinions on these skimmer so i was just looking for some feedback.

What pump are you planning on running it with? I've found them to be great skimmers but the inherent nature of the beckett injector requires some patience for fine tuning.

they suggested the pan world 200ps so thats what i bought

That will do it. I've found some run fine with an Iwaki 55 (PW 150PS) while others need the umph of the 70 (PW 200PS).... same skimmer in all scenarios. Aside from that little quirk I don't have a complaint about them.

That should be a good skimmer for your water volume.
