I had an ich infestation last week and I used rid ich for a week now. It seemed to have worked (for now atleast). I lost 4 fishes and I'm worried that I might loose the rest of my fishes.

I would like to set up a qt for the rest of the fishes and maybe use it as another tank? I like the idea that the nano has everything in it. I just need water and the livestock.

Anyone who has done it and has some ideas...please share.

The nano would be perfect for quarantining smaller fish. I think a nano would add more stress to bigger fish, especially tangs. I had a 29 gallon set up as a hospital/quarantine tank for several months. It comes in handy when you do have a problem.

Thanks for the input.
A bigger tank is an ideal quarantine tank but my problem is lack of space and I'm on the second floor.
A little hard to keep up.

I say you should go for it. A smaller quarantine is better than no quarantine. If you notice the fish starting to stress, you can always move them to the display earlier than planned. I've had to do this with my Blue Regal. It was a huge risk, but I think is was worth it.
