I just bought and set up a brand new tank, including Current-usa 1/10HP chiller. The display reads E1. It lets me set temp up and down, but then goes back to E1. Anyone know what the heck that means? There's nothing in the destructions about error messages.

Sounds like an error. Never used a Current USA chiller, probably best to call them.

Look at page 7 of the following and it tells all the E errors
Chiller (http://www.current-usa.com/PDF/PrimeChillerModularManual.pdf)

It may be the same for your model.

I'd go to the manufacturer's website and see if they tell you there.

I fixed it all by myself! took off the face, removed the controller, blew in it like an old nintendo cartridge and viola! Now it works.

That makes me feel safe....heh.

Holy frijole! I thought I was becoming a dying breed... good to know there are some of us old fartknockers still breathing. :lmao:

Glad to hear you got it fixed Hubris... if that (blowing) doesn't work long, try various combinations of duct tape/WD40/ballpeen hammer. :D

at least he didnt have to put it back together slightly crooked, or just together enough to barely get it in and jam it down... or hit the reset button 7 or 8 times. :)

That has something to do with the teleportation of information, doesn't it?

(this thread is SO headed to the lounge)
