Any ideas of why everytime I get a cleaner shrimp on my tank they died. I have two clowns, cherub pygmy, anemone and they all have been doing good on my tank for 9 months. but I introduced two cleaner shrimps at a time, once 5 months ago and the other a week ago......they both have died. first one within a week, and the other one next day.:( any ideas?
do they need a lot of water circulation, I probably don't have enough as of yet, i'm waiting for a MJ1200

cleaner shrimp are one of the first to die if you have nitrate problems ... any of that? Give us water parameters if you need help!

Are you aclimating them slowly?

I will check water parameters and post them....
To be honest w/you the last shrimp I don't think was aclimated rigtht, I got it from the store and was coming late from school so I just left it on a bucket dripping water from my tank but only for 10 min....

I had a shrimp live forever and I never acclimated him ... he did however die of a nitrate spike when my skimmer pump got stuck!

like I said ... shrimp are much more susceptible to nitrates. Did they appear "drunk" before they died ...
