From the limited information I've been able to find, they are supposed to be reef safe and don't require any special feedings. Is this correct? I currently feed my fish frozen mysis, frozen brine, prime reef flakes, Hikari S pellets, Formula 2 flakes and occationally Cyclop-eeze.

Does anybody currently have one of these in their reef? Are they really reef safe and will they simply eat the same food as the fish. Are there any special requirements for them?

I had one. They are totally harmless and reef safe. They filter feed so they may need supplemental feedings.

I had one in 55 gallon tank with my haddons anemone. They will never leave the anemone and unless you have one it will hide and you will never see it. I think I would take a little fish food and grind it with a mortar and pestel and then use a turkey baster to spray over the anemone so that the crab can feed.

got to get him a mate so i have a pair, his claws are so dirty at the moment tho as i see him picking clumps of algea of the surrounding sand and rocks and it seems to have stained him white claws, hope it goes away.

im sure my guy get plenty to eat as i feed my fish a home made mix that i squish up to feed my corals and after that there is food everywhere in the tank, really cool critter to have.
