:eek2: Just found this in my tank--what is it?--is it a goodie or a baddie??? If a baddie how do I get rid of it?

Nice picture. It's a Scypha Sponge. AKA Pineapple or Q-Tip Sponge.

Oh my god, I have craploads of those thingies in my sump. I swear, travis, you know everything don't you? I thought they were called tunicates? same thing or different?

so are these good or bad or doesnt matter. I have my entire sump almost full of them. I released a few nto the tank and my freakin fish were eating them. please help. thanx Kevin

They are fine. Shows good water quality. No, they are not tunicates.

cool i was really worried. They multiplied very quickly and covered the walls of the sump. thanx for the replies guys. Kevin

hi,first post my live rock is covered with these did not know what they were, mostly in shaded areas thanks I will let them go and see what happens thanks
