I bought a piece of live rock yesterday and notices this little guy. He is red and looks like a pipe cleaner in the tube. Very sensitive to light and movement and he darts back in his tube when I'm trying to get a good look at him.
I've looked on Chucks Hitchhiker Guide and he doesn't look like any of those.
Maybe he's just a tube worm without his crown?
Here are some pictures.

Just from the tube my guess would be a vermetid tube snail. I'm not real familiar with tube snail operculum's (the dark brown "door stopper") so I'm not sure. Does it produce strings of mucus then reel them back it? that's how vermetids feed.

I've only had it for one day, but no mucus webs so far.
Also, this one doesn't seem to have an operculm, at least not like the pics of the vermetid tube snails I've seen. this one has the pipe cleaner looking end sticking out, it doesn't close up.
