Thrice it is a big, powerful pump. I wouldn't want it in my bedroom.

That said, it is in the basement directly below my bed, and I can't hear it at all. House built in 1923, so, well, nothing more to be said. It is very quiet for a pump this size. But if you are in the room with it, you can hear it.

Make sure you get the black front end Hammerhead. It will be more quiet and stronger than the blue front end.
