What the Devil?

I live in coastal Georgia and typically in our estuaries we don't have corals. Is there anyone who knows what this might be?

I'm sorry that the quality is poor, but I can't figure out how to focus my expensive camera through the glass. This may be Anemones for all I know.

Try using a magnifying glass in front of the lens to focus better. I couldn't even guess. :D Or look for the little flower icon on your camera and push that.

I have tried the little flower, i have tried a tripod, I have stood back and zoomed in, but I've never put a magnifing glass in front of the lens...Thanks

You can't zoom with the flower on, do you know that? Usually you click on the flower, and move the camera close till it is focused. If it still won't focus, then try the magnifying glass. Of course this is all on auto focus that I do this. :D

Yes, thanks. I zoomed with the Flower or Macro off. I even turned it to manual (supposedly) to focus but to no avail. I've had the lights off for a while now, so I will try the magnifing glass tomorrow.

Try looking up Metridium, a genus of anemone.

The area of the photograph above is probably 5 cm square and each of these polyps? is 3-4 mm tall
