I added a Sea Hare to address hair algae in my tank. Well the algae is gone, but I still have the sea hare. I am not sure what will keep this little guy from starving to death. I am considering offering it the algae tabs I feed my plecostomus in my FW tank. I have considered re-homing, but I would like to keep is in my tank.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried nori?

I'm not sure what that is...

Nori is the seaweed that is used to wrap sushi. I'd avoid feeding it caulerpa, especially since it's in your display. If you can track down some sea lettuce, your sea hare would probably enjoy it. I've heard some people have temporarily used ordinary terrestrial salad lettuce.

Update...

The Sea Hare went to live with another reefer who has a major issue with hair algae. I just hope that Sea Hares are not susceptible to obesity.

Thank you all so much.
