the box dimensions are : 9x5.5x8 that does not include the gate valve on the output, add another 4" for that

They charged you an extra 75.00 for clear acrylic? It's cheaper then the black I think. Anyway I'm interested in it. Can you pump ozone into the venturi? And is the mr1 rated for 150 gal?

it is rated for 175 gals but this is a downdraft skimmer not a ventury so i am unsure about ozone.

platax88,

this unit is a beckett skimmer, and a free bump.

reefez,

yes you can use ozone with this unit, and the unit is rated for 175g with one beckett head (as picture),

great unit,

sam

overall height? and help me out a bit, what kind of flow am I going to need for this one? Any rec. on a pump? How does this plumb and can i use it in a sump, sorry for the newbie questions, unfamiliar with this type of skimmer, but looks like the perfect rateing and price for me.

flfirefighter13, the height is 22.5". The recommended pump is a mag 12. I recommend that it be used in sump. Pretty much, from the mag 12 it pumps into the the small cylinder on the side of the main skimmer body and water will come out of the gate valve. you open or close the gate valve to regulate the water level. (as far as i know... i never actually hooked it up. i purchased it from another reefer and never got around to setting up the tank)

Here are all the specs and they have a manual on the support sectioin. I would also contact their customer support with questions. They are very nice and always willing to help.
