hi, im about to make an order tonight and im still debating on my snails. I dont want any hermits, i find that all they do is kill snails. What and how many snails would you recommend for this tank? Preferably a species that will eat all forms of algae including hair algae and diatoms. Also whats a good all around carion/scavenger snail for my sand bed?

At the moment all i have is coraline algae :D , but i want to have a clean up crew that can handle anything that might spring up.

Thank you!!!

Astrea, turbos, trocus or cerith are all fine choices. Turbos generally are larger and will knock rock/frags around. But they do a good job with the tougher algeas imo. Hermits love cerith shells for some odd reason :P

As for "carion/scavenger snail for my sand bed?" Nassurius Snails will do the job. By far my favorite snails too.
